I told you that the Just 18 Summers® brand would have a big announcement for you on December 26. Actually, we have TWO big pieces of news about Just 18 Summers® to share with you.
On January 1, we’ll go live with the Just 18 Summers® parenting blog, featuring 18 columns each month from an awesome staff of experts and parents just like you. Topics will range from home décor, recipes and meal ideas, ideas for fun ways to make memories as a family, stories to read with your kids, ways to plant spiritual roots in your children, inspirational posts for you, and so much more. In addition to the 18 columns, we’ll add a few days of bonus material so that we can post Monday-Friday of each week.
Are your parenting batteries depleted? Could you use some encouragement and inspiration to help you on the parenting journey? You have just eighteen summers with your child . . . and we want to help you make the most of them and enjoy them.
From now until January 1 when we go live, I’ll introduce a few of our contributors each day. They are an amazing group and I can’t wait for you to meet them. You’re going to love their columns!
But, wait, that’s not all! The second piece of news is that my Just 18 Summers novel (co-authored with Rene Gutteridge) will release on April 1. It’s available NOW for pre-order, so here’s an opportunity to use some of those gift cards (from Amazon and other book retailers) that you just got as Christmas gifts. We’ll have more news about the book release in upcoming days, but I thought you might like to see the back cover copy from the book:
“After the tragic death of Butch Browning’s wife, Jenny, four families begin to realize how precious—and fleeting—their time together is. Each is at a different stage in life: Butch is facing single parenthood. The O’Reillys are expecting their first child. The Andersons are approaching an empty nest, and the Buckleys are so focused on providing their children with everything that they’ve forgotten what they truly need. With just eighteen summers before their children are grown, how do they make the most of that time when life so often gets in the way?
As summer flies by, each of these parents must learn about guilt and grace . . . and when to hold on to their kids and when to let go.”
